Bubble AI Agent Integration

Add an AI agent to your Bubble app so it answers from your own content with citations. Here is the no-code setup using an HTML element block.

Adding an AI agent to a Bubble app lets your users get answers from your own content and help docs, with citations — added through a no-code HTML element or page header script. For Bubble builders, it's support and onboarding help without writing a backend.

Why Bubble apps benefit

Bubble apps are full products built without code, and their users have the same questions any product's users do: how do I do this, where's that setting, what does this mean. An AI agent reads your help content and answers in the app, cited, deflecting support and helping users self-serve. That keeps a small no-code team from drowning in support. See the SaaS use case.

Step 1: Index your content

Create an account, get your publishable site key, and point the platform at your help docs, marketing site, or knowledge base to crawl. The platform chunks and embeds that content so the agent answers from it accurately. Schedule a re-crawl so updates stay covered.

Step 2: Add the embed in Bubble

Bubble lets you add custom scripts through the page HTML header (in the page or app settings) or an HTML element on a page. Add the AIML.chat embed init with your publishable key, and the widget loads where you place it. No backend work, and the async embed doesn't affect your app's performance.

Step 3: Configure the agent

Choose a support or onboarding agent and give it a grounded prompt: answer only from your indexed content, cite the source, and capture an email or escalate when it can't help. Grounding keeps answers specific to your product — see what is RAG. An onboarding-focused agent is especially useful for guiding new Bubble app users through setup.

Step 4: Place it where users need help

Decide where the widget appears — globally, or on the pages where users get stuck. Putting it in the app shell makes help available everywhere; putting it on key flows targets the moments of friction. Either way it loads from the same embed.

Step 5: Learn from users

The analytics show what users ask and where they get stuck — a backlog for your help content and your UX. Re-crawl after updating your docs and the agent improves, turning support questions into product insight.

What you get

Your Bubble app now has a grounded assistant that answers users from your real content, deflects support, and helps with onboarding — added with a no-code embed, no backend. See AI for B2B SaaS onboarding for the onboarding angle.

Why grounding beats a generic widget

Whatever platform you are on, the value is not the chat box — it is that the answers come from your own content. A generic chatbot bolted onto Bubble will improvise from a general model and confidently get your details wrong, which erodes trust fast. A grounded agent answers only from what you indexed and cites the page, so every reply is traceable to something you actually published. That is the difference between a widget that frustrates visitors and one they come to rely on, and it is why indexing your real content is the step that matters most.

Getting started

Add an agent to your Bubble app on the AIML.chat free plan: index your content, add the embed via the HTML header, and configure the agent. Compare tiers on the pricing page.

How do I add the widget to Bubble?+

Through the page HTML header in app settings or an HTML element on a page — add the embed init with your key and it loads where you place it.

Do I need to write backend code?+

No — the agent and its content live on AIML.chat; you only add a no-code embed in Bubble.

Can it help with onboarding?+

Yes — an onboarding agent grounded in your help content guides new users through setup with cited, step-by-step answers.
