What is AIML.chat?

How is an agent different from a chatbot?
A chatbot only answers. An agent answers from your content and can also do things — file an issue, look up an order, create a record — by calling MCP tools, with a human-approval step before anything that writes. It can also hand off to a specialized agent or a human.
How does indexing work?
We crawl your site, extract text, split it into chunks, and generate vector embeddings. When a user asks a question we find the most relevant chunks and pass them to the AI.
Does it hallucinate?
We instruct the AI to only answer based on the indexed content and to say "I don't know" when the answer isn't in your docs.
Can I remove the "Powered by aiml.chat" badge?
Yes — the Pro plan and above can remove the badge.
Is there a WordPress plugin?
Yes. Install from the WordPress plugin directory and paste your API key in Settings.
Do you support MCP?
Both directions. Your knowledge base is exposed as an MCP server with a search tool any AI agent can call, and you can add an external MCP server as a knowledge source so its resources are indexed too.
What sources can I index?
Web pages and sitemaps, public GitHub repositories, PDFs, Word documents, plain text, and external MCP servers.
How do I handle GDPR?
Conversations use sessionStorage (not cookies) so no cookie banner is required. You can delete any conversation or your entire account at any time.
